Mindfulness can be Playful, Powerful and Life-Changing for Kids
During the Mindfulness summer camp at Tree Streets Healing Center, children aged 7-11 will learn and practice various skills to help them grow and thrive physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Below are the main objectives
🧠 Cognitive & Emotional Awareness

I can notice and name how I’m feeling, inside and out.

I can use my breath to calm my mind and body when I feel upset or overwhelmed.

Camp Details
We're anticipating a great time. Below are listed some of the fun activities that we are planning.
🌈 Camp Activities Include:
🧘♀️ Kid-Friendly Yoga – Stretch, balance, and move through playful poses that help us feel calm and strong.
🌬️ Mindful Breathing Games – Discover fun ways to use your breath to feel more focused, peaceful, and in control.
🎨 Creative Art Projects – Use colors, textures, and imagination to express emotions and inner calm.
🌿 Nature Walks & Sensory Adventures – Explore the outdoors mindfully and notice the magic in every leaf, sound, and breeze.
📖 Story-time & Guided Imagery – Relax and journey through peaceful stories that teach mindfulness and kindness.
🎭 Feelings Charades & Emotion Explorers – Learn about emotions through movement, role-play, and fun group games.
🎵 Music & Sound Baths – Experience calming sounds and learn how music can help us feel more centered.
🤝 Connection Circles – Practice friendship skills like listening, empathy, and speaking from the heart.
🌀 Breathwork with Props – Use bubbles, feathers, and pinwheels to make mindful breathing fun and interactive.
🎉 Celebration Circle – Reflect on what we’ve learned and celebrate each camper’s unique journey!

not unlike adults.

Mindfulness is not just a strategy but a way of living and interacting with life. Theough practicng the skills of mindull living, your child will begin to develop a new outlook on the beauties of life all around. In our camp, your child will do much more that have fun. Here are some of the benefits speficifally for childnren.
🧘♀️ Stay Calm When They Feel Overwhelmed
Through breathing exercises, movement, and mindful games, kids learn how to notice when big emotions are rising—and what to do next. They’ll practice real tools to pause, breathe, and respond in healthy ways instead of reacting out of frustration or anxiety.
💬 Understand and Express Their Feelings
We guide campers to recognize emotions in their bodies, put words to their experiences, and express themselves clearly and kindly. By learning emotional vocabulary and practicing safe ways to share, children build self-awareness and confidence in expressing their inner world.
🤝 Build Empathy and Confidence
From collaborative games to guided partner exercises, kids learn how to really listen to others, understand different perspectives, and treat each other (and themselves!) with compassion. As they build these skills, they naturally gain confidence in who they are and how they relate to others.
🌙 Sleep Better, Focus Longer, and Enjoy the Present Moment
Mindfulness helps children relax their nervous system, which improves sleep, increases focus, and boosts joy in everyday experiences. Whether they’re sitting in class, winding down at bedtime, or enjoying a summer day, your child will have tools to be more present and engaged—on their own terms.

About the instructor
Meet Jarom Stubbs

Jarom is a certified mindfulness instructor and experienced educator with over 10 years of working with children, teens, and adults. He brings a calm, playful, and heart-centered approach to every camp session—creating a space where kids feel safe, seen, and supported.
With a Masters degree in education and certifications in in Vivation breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga Jarom specializes in helping kids and adults build emotional awareness and resilience from the inside out.
